And similar shows earlier. I'm still digesting how I should think about my own reaction. It's clear that multiple people and organizations fell down in deplorable ways. Some of it is humans being human and demonstrating the normal limits of humanity. But some of it is people doing a bad job and they should not be rewarded for their failures. I've written in the past how people, in general, may do a horrible job <a href="/blog/archives/2003/09/04/everybody-is-in-the-top-1/" rel="nofollow">comprehending the reality of probabilities </a> and <a href="/blog/archives/2003/09/04/an-acceptable-risk/" rel="nofollow">dealing with it</a>. But the world is full of exceptional people. And the leaders of FEMA <em>should be those exceptional people</em>. I saw that same Dateline. And similar shows earlier.
