Annual Credit Report
I've had this info sitting in a file on my desktop for some time and it makes more sense just to post it here for myself and any gentlereaders who may not know about it.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) was amended such that each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies must provide a free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months.
Consumers in Texas can order free reports starting 1 June 2005.

The three nationwide consumer reporting companies have set up one central website (www.annualcreditreport.com) through which you can order your free annual report.
