Missing Letter
As I clean up the new apt and find places for things, I re-discovered some letters from old high school and college friends. This greatly slows me down. :-)
I was surprised to find an official Waterville Senior High School envelope with my name on it. Inside, it started, "I LOVED your letter/soliloquy ?! I'm sorry you had to take the creative time and energy ... but it paid off!" (strong emphasis in handwritten original). It was from my band instructor. I was upset about my grade (band was a letter grade). The instructor noted that indeed I had been given an incorrect grade and then she went into the details about what her system was for assigning grades.
Unfortunately, I've lost the original letter that I sent. There is a very slim chance that I'll be able to retrieve it via a technical process on which I won't elaborate here and now. Suffice it to say that that it's best to consider it lost. But I remain curious what I wrote that evoked such a response.
