I miss the oldies, its D.J's, and the family fun. BOB FM is cold, mundane and has not soul.
103.5 is off of my radio dial.

BOB FM - I LOVE IT!!! Finally we have a station that doesn't play the same dozens songs over and over ad nauseum. OLDIES 103.5 was getting just that, old. If you really want to listen to oldies, you can find it on the AM stations. I'm 45 and find a comfort zone in the 80's music, but like to branch out into newer stuff, and BOB FM gives me the opportunity to sample without having to commit a radio button to a station I probably would use that much.
No more DJ's in the morning telling me what JLo is up to....Need I say more? When I want to hear talk radio, I turn to NPR for intelligent discourse.
I remember 107.7 too, it was good (BOB is better) and was taken aback when it was replaced overnight.
Let's hear it for BOB!

I really like oldies 103.5 in Austin it's format is a lot better then Kono 101.1 in san antonio. Bob fm is not to bad either and I really like the hawk 107.7 when it was still on the air. I just feel like there is to many Mix format stations out there and that they shold stick to that format on the mix station not destroy what was a great radio station for the whole family. I am very open minded to all types of music and I am not trying to dog Bob-FM I just think that it should of happen to a station other then oldies 103.5.

While I like BOB FM, I think Austin lacks a rock station with an "edge," like Kiss FM in San Antonio, where they play some Rock Top 40 without forgetting who their heavy metal roots are. Some might say KLBJ would be the equivalent, but personally, I think KLBJ has too much talk and classic rock, while I have no problems with Floyd, Hendrix, et. al., KLBJ (or 101X for that matter) really doesn't fill my quota when the headbanger in me needs to get out.
