I'm stunned beyond all comprehension. I can't believe it's actually happening. I think I'll go sit down for a few minutes.

Wait. I'm already sitting down.

Now then, as friends have suggested, and I have in the past, I am strongly inclined towards the one with the den (however, due to the odd look of the layout, I can't tell if there's access to the bathroom from the main part of the house - something that would be nice for guests). The den gives you a) a place to put your computer so it isn't in the living room b)a place for people to sleep when they come over so they aren't in the living room and c) a place to put more bookshelves.

It will also make your living room look nice and clear and improve the odds of adding a Squeeze...

Those are all good reasons to have the den, I definitely agree. My potential trouble with the Arboretum complex is that they are newly under Equity Apartments management and they haven't had a social function since they took over in Jan. Walnut Creek has been established for some time and I got the impression they have more functions to bring the community together. I could probably stand to get to know a few neighbors. I'll know more in a few hours. They are having a luau this evening and invited me to come check it out, so I'll do that and then I can talk to people and won't have to do quite so much guessing.

I think the layout for the 878 is a bit off with a few extra nonexistent walls because that wall that was confusing you divides the place in two with no door! Based on where the mistake is, the bathroom is accessible through a hallway and not directly from any room, which is not a problem at all. Actually, I think we've both been in this layout before: I think F and K lived in this layout . F and M (not you, the other M, the one that goes with J and F ;-) live at that complex now, the 1,241 sq ft layout.
