Here's the fundamental fact - race can and should be a factor in determining risk. This does &lt;i&gt;not&lt;/i&gt; mean that you should pull over random Middle Eastern men and check them - I think that's what you and Gopi are against. However, it &lt;i&gt;does&lt;/i&gt; mean that if a person is exhibiting risky behavior, his age and race may play an added role in determining the level of precaution. An old lady making repeated trips to the bathroom - not so risky. A young Middle Eastern man doing the same thing - very risky.

What the TSA is doing now is even worse - &lt;i&gt;not&lt;/i&gt; checking some people because they have already checked 2-3 people of the same race, and doing this just because they don't want to give the impression of profiling. That's just terrible.</description>
